These Terms of Service govern access to and use of files.school by Styx Corp operated by Styx Corp LLP. By accessing or using the platform, users agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
The platform is intended for use by schools, educational institutions, administrators, authorized staff members, and related organizations. Users represent that they are authorized to use the service on behalf of their institution where applicable.
2. Services Provided
files.school by Styx Corp provides a cloud-based file management and archival platform for schools and educational institutions. Features may include file uploads, cloud storage, archive organization, folder management, search functionality, permissions, sharing, and administrative tools.
Features and services may change, improve, or be discontinued at our discretion.
3. Account Responsibility
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials, restricting unauthorized access, and managing authorized users within their institution.
The account holder and institution remain responsible for all activities occurring under their accounts.
4. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to upload unlawful, abusive, harmful, infringing, or malicious content, including malware, viruses, or unauthorized material.
Users may not attempt unauthorized access to systems, abuse storage infrastructure, interfere with platform security, or use the platform for illegal activities.
5. Ownership of Content
All uploaded files, documents, media, and content remain the property of the respective school or authorized content owner. files.school by Styx Corp does not claim ownership over uploaded content.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring they possess the necessary rights and permissions for uploaded content.
6. Storage & Usage Limits
Subscription plans may include storage limits, upload limits, feature restrictions, or fair usage limitations.
Exceeding plan limits may result in restricted uploads, additional charges, upgrade requirements, or temporary suspension of certain features.
7. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid plans, renewals, trials, and subscription terms follow the plan selected during signup or assigned by the administrator.
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Pricing may be subject to applicable taxes including GST.
Failed or overdue payments may result in restricted access or suspension of services.
8. Subscription Expiry & Data Retention
If a subscription expires or is terminated, uploads may be disabled, account access may become restricted, and files may remain temporarily accessible during a grace period.
Unless otherwise specified, data may be permanently deleted after 90 days from subscription expiry.
Users are responsible for maintaining backups of important files where necessary.
9. Availability of Service
While we aim to maintain reliable service availability, uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, third-party outages, internet disruptions, or force majeure events.
10. Security
We implement commercially reasonable measures to protect platform data and infrastructure. However, no internet-based service is completely secure.
Schools and users remain responsible for protecting account credentials and managing internal access permissions.
11. Third-Party Services
The platform may rely on third-party providers including cloud infrastructure providers, payment gateways, analytics providers, and hosting services.
We are not responsible for interruptions or failures caused by third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
12. Intellectual Property
The files.school by Styx Corp platform, software, branding, interface, designs, logos, and related materials are the intellectual property of Styx Corp LLP unless otherwise stated.
Users may not copy, reverse engineer, reproduce, redistribute, modify, or resell any portion of the platform without written permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, files.school by Styx Corp and Styx Corp LLP shall not be liable for indirect damages, business interruption, data loss, unauthorized access, service downtime, third-party failures, or user negligence.
Use of the platform is at the user’s own risk.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the platform for violations of these Terms, abuse of services, security concerns, non-payment, or unlawful activities.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
Any disputes arising from the use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
